2011 Winter Activities: Week 1 Lessons

Outdoors for All kicked off its 2011 season last week starting off with lessons on Wednesday nights with the Skihawks racing team at Summit and then just a avalanche of programs from Friday night through Sunday at our three mountain locations (Summit, Stevens and Crystal).  Big thanks and congrats to all of our wonderful volunteers for a great first weekend at lessons.  Great job!  For more photos, check out our Facebook page album:  2011 Week 1 Lessons

2010 On-Mountain Volunteer Training

Another great weekend up on the mountain training volunteer for our 2011 winter sessions. We had over 400 volunteers training at three different mountain locations in over 10 different volunteer roles from instructors to office assistants! Check out some great photos here:

US Paralympics Recap on NBC

SATURDAY, APRIL 10 / 3pm EST

Don't miss it!  NBC will be feature a two hour recap of the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, BC, including competition, events, and featured stories on individual athletes.  

The winter Paralympics showcase participants' athletic achievements in five sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross country skiing, sled hockey and wheelchair curling. In Vancouver, a total of 600 athletes from approximately 40 countries competed in the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.

Dare You to Move

This past week and weekend marked the kickoff of our 2010 Winter Activities.  And what a great weekend it was.  With the help of about 500 volunteers this winter we will be able to carry out our mission.  Check out this video from one of our volunteers at Stevens Pass, Sarah Krastek.  Do you have videos or photos of our programs?  Make sure to share them with the Outdoors for All staff.  You might event get featured in our Enewsletter or on our webpage!  You can submit videos and photos by contacting:

Trails for All

A few of Outdoors for All staff, family and friends ventured to the Methow Valley over the holiday season and visited the Rendezvous Huts.  With the use of a Bi-Unique adaptive ski and a sled for Peaches the three-legged pooch, the trails really were for all!  A big thanks to the Rendezvous Huts.
